Done

So it's done!

We are all moved in. Cat, boyfriend and art supplies! I'm putting up paintings and hanging photos. I've even begun painting again. I couldn't do it till now as the second bedroom was a horrid colour of purple. Not a relaxing shade, not even a vibrant colour of purple. No it was a dark shade of puce (yes people "puce" is a dark dark dark shade of purple, NOT green). It was wretched. And so for an epic deal at our local hardware store, 2 gallons of paint, 2 quarts of primer + extra donated primer (cuz oh boy did I need PRIMER), the room is painted a lovely shade of straw.

After that I set up the room with my drafting table and my easel, and of course with my boyfriend's desk. So I'm open for business! Started a birthday present for my sister's oldest. It's going to be Kaylie's 3rd birthday this year. It's nuts I remember when I was three!! I will keep you updated on that projects and all future projects as well!

Jobs, No Jobs and vacations...

Again, I have been absent for an extended period. Mainly due to the fact that I took a new daytime job to help pay the bills, and it also had the potential to be a good deal more. Everything was fantastic, for the first week at least. Then I discovered that it wasn't the proper fit, so I figured clean out the B.S. and get rid of the stress.

So, as of today, I have been unemployed for 3 days. And I don't think I've ever been THIS busy.  I've been painting, schmoozing with local businesses, emailing publishers, and updating my portfolio. 

I also got to take a week of vacation before the start at my new (old) job, and I got to meet my boyfriend's Dad and Step-Mom. So we spent a week in the middle of no-where Ontario, enjoying the weather, the beach, the sun and the company!

Wouldn't you just want to stay here FOREVER? I know I sure want to go there and never come back to the city.

Internet, boyfriends, and toutous

So for the last 3 weeks, I have been dealing with internet that has been slower than molasses in January. And I have to wonder how we managed to survive without the internet pre-1990's. I mean I was going slightly bonkers not being able to post, send email, check Facebook or my Twitter feed. I was steeling my boyfriend's iPhone just to check the bus times! Life is supposed to be easier with all the technology and all it is doing is breaking down and giving us coronaries! Thankfully, I have a boyfriend, who is not only a tech wizard, but happens to work with computers all day, every day. He got me a new wireless router, and had our network set up and everything, all I had to do was plug it in....

Okay okay you can stop laughing now! 

I did manage to plug everything in, without breaking anything, and with the end result being; I HAVE THE INTERNET BACK!
