As I am sure that most of you know, moving sucks. It's messy, crazy, and incredibly stressful. It's never done the way you want, or when you want or HOW you want... but somehow, unpacking is even worse! It's not done in one horrible day, it's done over several horrible weeks. And for some, months or YEARS. Currently, I am about 70% unpacked, but one whole room remains. And trying to get it done in an orderly and prompt fashion seems to be impossible right now.
I have yet to move my cat. She's currently at my parents' place, and until that silly bedroom gets unpacked, she's not coming home. She's now 17 years old and has the beginnings of kidney failure, and from what the vet has told me, she has to avoid stressful situations. Moving house is stressful enough for a cat, let alone coming into an apartment filled with boxes and strange smells is worse. So she's staying put till we get things settled.
Now onto the stuff you care about: PLANS! LOL yea I know you don't really care about what my plans are, but it's a good one! I have a friend who is a graffiti artist, and we're planning a collaboration. Should be definitely interesting! His style is so different from my own that it will certainly be a contrast. He works almost exclusively with spray paint, and I'm nearly exclusively traditional media! How we're going to do it will be a challenge, and essentially we've agreed to do it, not what or when. But that shall come shortly!
Until after my vacation, I bid you all adieu...

WIP Night Scene Montreal
So here I am again, in the middle of a painting, I'm not sure how I feel about it. I think I like it. I hated it for a long time... but it's warming up to me slowly. It's taking a lot more layers than I have anticipated, but I suppose it's always the way it goes. I'm enjoying the sky, and where the buildings are headed, but I'm still not completely sold. It might be WIP for a long time!
On another yet similar note, here is a funny painting that has no other purpose than to make you smile!

Long Awaited Post
So I have been greatly neglectful of my blog, mainly because of my laziness.
I've been working on a lot of things lately, sadly my camera is out of commission at the moment and thus I cannot upload some of my experiments. Mainly I have re-found my love of oil paints and I have been going absolutely nutters with all manners of paintings. Realistic, abstract, and impressionistic, you name it I've been painting it.
I am currently poised in my studio getting a little giggly from all the fumes... maybe I should migrate to another location, but I don't think I will. The colours and the textures are making me want to continue painting, just after I've cleaned up. And if you have ever used oil paints, you know how long it takes to clean up....
My next adventure is coming up in a few short weeks, on April 27th, I'm at Dawson College on de Maisonneuve in Montreal for the whole day! I will be selling some prints, originals, and other strange and wacky creations! It's coming up on Mother's Day (already!!) and some of the watercolours would be perfect for Mom's. Or at least mine!!! Others will be available. Not just Mom Safe ones, but my strange and unusual ones as well!
Now onto a harmless plug - I have not the words to describe this writer that I have come across, her ability with a turn of phrase baffles and excites me. For those of you who like Charlaine Harris and True Blood you will giggle with excitement over this woman. Follow and love her, as much as I do!!
Signed,
Me.
